Absolutely! They will be able to stand on the quad and watch the girls run home and take pictures afterward. They won’t be able to go to the chapter's individual celebrations, but they get to celebrate the best day of the year!

Letter of Recommendations
These are not necessary by any means.
But if you know alumnae of any of the 7 organizations we have here at Samford, no matter what college they attended, you can ask them to submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf. Every chapter has different policies regarding how these letters of recommendation are taken into account, but they serve to help chapters get to know your character more clearly before they get to meet you in person! These letters of recommendation could be helpful, but it will NOT count against you if you do not have them.
To ask for a letter of recommendation, reach out to an alumna! Instructions for how to submit them can be found on their organization’s national website.

Terms to know
Bid - an invitation to join a chapter
Dues - These are fees you pay to your organization that help the sorority function.
Legacy - A prospective member whose sister/mother/ grandmother is an alumna or active member of a specific organization. The role of legacy status varies upon chapter.
MRABA - MRABA is a binding agreement signed after preference round. By signing the MRABA, the PNM is acknowledging that she is willing to accept a bid from the 1-2 sororities listed on her agreement.
Potential New Member (PNM) - This is any girl who goes through recruitment, because each chapter you walk into you could be potentially joining.
Panhellenic - The term Panhellenic encompasses all sororities nationally and addresses the sororities as a whole. Samford's Panhellenic Council oversees the 7 sororities on our campus.
National Pan-hellenic Council - serves as the governing body for the member organizations. NPHC organizations have culturally based foundations but are inclusive to all students seeking a collegiate fraternity/sorority experience at Samford.
Rho Gamma - A Rho Gamma is a recruitment counselor who will be guiding the PNM through her recruitment experience. All Rho Gammas are in a sorority on Samford's campus but they are disaffiliated temporarily. This is to ensure that they are able to lead all PNMs with an unbiased viewpoint.
Head Rho Gamma - A Head Rho Gamma is an upperclassmen woman that will be guiding you closely alongside your Rho Gammas. Your Head Rho Gamma has been a Rho Gamma previously which makes them a great resource, counselor, and friend!
